OPERATIONAL AI ADVISORY

Prove it. Build it. Run it.

For the operators of growing businesses: proven technology chosen for steady growth, built into the daily work, kept running and kept current as the tools change.

Every system you run now comes with its own AI.

Each one holds a piece of the picture. None of them sees the whole business, or knows why it runs the way it does. New tools arrive every week, and choosing between them becomes the work. Access isn't the problem anymore. Deploying it in the right order, at the right time, is.

When a pilot does work, nobody has time to finish it, nobody can say what it's worth, and nobody owns it once it's live. Your best people already have full-time jobs.

Information is free now. Judgment isn't.

From idea to running, in three phases.

  1. Prove

One real use case, deployed and used.

First we decide what's worth doing and measure where it stands today. Then we put one use case into your real work, on your data, used by your people. If it won't hold up, we stop early.

Done when: It runs in production and beats the baseline.

  2. Build

Scale what proved out, across the business.

The software is the fast part. Most of the work is the process, the people, the vendors and choosing what to use. Your systems get connected, your people get trained until they run it, and your company brain takes shape: one current record of how the business runs and why. Nothing gets built that can't be kept running.

Done when: Your people operate it every day.

  3. Run

Rely on it, grow it and stay current.

Launch isn't the end. Treat what we built like a new hire: give it real work, coach it through the first rough patch, and give it more as it earns it. Your team maintains it, or I do. New tools are tracked, and only what fits your business comes in. Everything live is reviewed on evidence: what pays stays, and what doesn't gets cut.

    Done when: It keeps paying.

Prove is where you stop early. Run is where you commit.

An AI operator and advisor.

  1. Forward-deployed. On site, in your systems, until it runs. Your team doesn't have to find the time.
  2. Small bets, steady cadence. Start with one real use case, or start with your company brain. The next piece starts only when the last one has earned it.
  3. Hands-on. The AI work happens inside your business, on your goals. Advice comes from what's been built and run, not from a demo.
  4. A company brain you own. Everything is written down and dated: how your business runs, the key decisions and why, your partners and what's in progress. It belongs to your company, not to any one person or AI tool. You see the work, the results and the running costs. BuildPhase runs the same way.
  5. Built to last. Monitoring, fallbacks and a named person accountable after launch.
  6. Measured by value. The scorecard isn't hours saved. It's how much more valuable your business is.

For operators with more work than people.

Business owners, and business leaders inside larger organizations. The work is real, the team is stretched, and nobody has time for a science project. If growth is held up by handwritten timesheets, orders keyed in twice, follow-ups that slip or answers that live in one person's head, that's the place to start.

If you want a strategy deck with nobody to build it, a company-wide overhaul, a chatbot for your website, or someone to resell you software, this isn't the right fit.

About me

Jack Lucci

I co-founded my first company, DataSense, on one bet: machine learning and AI belong inside business operations. DataSense was a software company built to put them there. In 2024 it joined OneStream, where I led the Applied AI team and deployed AI to enterprises. All told, that's a decade of putting machine learning and AI into production.

An operator at heart: at a startup you build it, sell it and support it. Client work runs the same way.

BuildPhase brings that forward-deployed model to operators who don't have a team like that.

It's founder-led: you work directly with me.

Why "BuildPhase"? It's for business owners and leaders in the AI building phase: moving beyond the pilot, and extracting value beyond the software.

Tell me where growth is getting stuck. If there's a proven way to fix it, we'll prove it small and fast. If there isn't, you'll hear that too. There's no product to sell.

Three questions to start with

  1. Which systems does your company run on?
  2. Which questions do your people ask most, and who answers them today?
  3. Who should see the strategy work?
